Truths About LIFE

Each of us has different views about life, some enjoys it but some don’t. Some look at it as exciting but for some it is frustrating. What is life? Do we really know everything about it? I would like to give three simple truths on how I define it personally.

1. LIFE IS A MATTER OF CHOICE. God created man with minds that can decide for their own. Apology for those who believes in destiny but I believe that life is a matter of choosing. I believe in a fact that God already has plans for us even before we are born yet it is our choice to follow or not to follow. Who are we today are the product of our decisions in the past and who we are tomorrow depends on what decisions we make today.

2. LIFE IS UNPREDICTABLE. What happens in the past will never be the same today, or even tomorrow. Life is full of surprises, new challenges waits as we continue to unfold its chapters. Nobody knows what will happen to them in the future; even a fortune teller cannot tell what will happen to him/her in the next hours. King Solomon of Israel once said, “Boast not thy self of to morrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” It is of a truth that there is no assurance for tomorrow.

3. LIFE IS SHORT. Life is likened to a vapor that appears in a short time and then it vanishes away. Days run so fast that you would not even realize it ends. If you would recall the days where you used to play in the sand, when you ride the school bus, when you first met your first crush, it just like yesterday, you even did not notice that wrinkles on your face starts to appear and that you needed to buy a dye to color your hair. Life may have given you thousands of smiles and tears but this one thing is for sure. IT HAS AN END.

Three basic truths about life: Life is short, it is unpredictable, and thus we don’t know when it ends, so make the best choice out of it. Will you live it with sense, or waste it with nonsense?
